Sorry to break the news but there really is no Aunt Bee’s Kitchen. It’s not a pop up restaurant or a cozy café where UNC-TV employees dine. It’s simply a behind-the-scenes prep area where folks can put together food, meals, snacks for meetings, gatherings and fundraisers and the like. The sign was no doubt made as a lark in reference to THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, which we did air for a while (as recently as 2008).
