Deep Dive: Tiny Desk Sesame Street

If you aren’t familiar with NPR Music’s Tony Desk Concert series, you can read the Wikipedia article. However, all you really need to know is that the public radio project has been featuring intimate performances by a variety of artists for about 15 years now. I’ve only seen a few that I’ve happened upon in my worldwide web travels but imagine my surprise when I came across one featuring the cast of SESAME STREET! It was recorded in June of 2019 and features some of the show’s beloved Muppets (Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Grover, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Abby Cadabby and Zoe) singing musical numbers from the long-running children’s series.
