Where Do I Know That Actor?

The hit series ANNIKA is back for a second season on MASTERPIECE so those who haven’t had the pleasure can catch the sharp, witty and enigmatic DI Annika Strandhed as she heads up the Marine Homicide Unit in Glasgow. There are also some faces familiar from other fare we’ve aired so let’s meet them all, shall we?

ANNIKA stars the wonderful Nicola Walker as the title character. She may not be the household name that a Judi Dench or Benedict Cumberbatch is but she’s been pretty well represented on PBS shows over the years. I first remember seeing her on MI-5 as Senior Intelligence Analyst Ruth Evershed but she’s also had starring roles on Last Tango In Halifax as Gillian and Unforgotten as DCI Cassie Stuart. Walker was also DC Sue Upton in A Mother’s Son, Helen Bartlett in Scott & Bailey, Sally in Oliver Twist and DI Susan Taylor in Touching Evil.
