Bob Ross got his artistic style from what painter?

Bob Ross and his “happy little clouds” are as much a part of the pop culture zeitgeist as almost anything PBS has to offer. While I think it’s safe to say that any individual’s talent cannot be solely attributed to one event or person, there seems to be a consensus (even from the late artist’s own website) that Bob Ross owes his artistic style to one painter in particular.
