Happy Little Clouds

Sometimes I think we just need to fill the day with happy little clouds. Thank goodness we have Bob Ross to help.

(Thanks to the folks at PBS Digital Studios for the remix.)

Happy Little Podcast

One of the most recognizable programs PBS has ever broadcasted is The Joy Of Painting With Bob Ross. Although the man known for his “happy little trees” passed away in 1995, his how-to show continues in reruns and his gentle style of artistic instruction has reached the type of pop culture saturation normally reserved for reality TV stars and failed politicians.

And now PBS is bringing Bob Ross to a new generation with the Bob Ross Podcast!

Starting today, April 1st, PBS will be presenting all 403 episodes of the classic series The Joy Of Painting With Bob Ross as a podcast (one episode per week) to enchant an all-new audience of millennials. Each podcast is taken from the master tapes of the original series and presented exactly as shown on PBS. Plus, all the audio has been digitally remastered to enhance every brush struck.

The Joy Of Painting With Bob Ross Podcast: Hear what you been seeing all these years!

Hey, It’s Photo Friday!

I was out and about during the holiday shopping rush and noticed this little display at a local bookstore: Bob Ross books, puzzles and bobbleheads. I continue to be amazed at the man’s pop culture reach. The Best Of The Joy Of Painting stills airs on UNC-TV and, 22 years after the artist’s passing, his brand appears as strong as ever.
