Where Do I Know That Actor?

When the body of a farmer is found in the middle of a stone circle, suspicion falls on the local druids. But no worries – DCI John Barnaby is on the case. So if you tuned into this week’s MIDSOMER MURDERS (“The Sleeper Under The Hill”) you may have noticed a few guest stars of note.

Lee Ross played Sergeant Trevor Gibson, a local copper. In the mid-2000s, Ross was Louis on the Mystery series Jericho. About the same time, he played Owen Turner – Denise’s ex-husband – on EastEnders (however UNC-TV only aired those episodes in the last few years).

Alan Williams portrayed high priest Ezra Canning. While he’s not a household name, by any means, he has popped up here and there. Primarily, Williams has had guest roles on shows like The CoronerEndeavour, Luther and Touching Evil. Yet he might be recognized from more substantial roles like Frank Lawson on The Guilty or Blind ‘Arry on Father Brown.
