We live in a digital world. Most everyone knows that. For years now television has been broadcast in digital, something the younger generation is well used to. But those of a more seasoned age remember well a time when TV was analog and the conversion to digital was a BIG deal. So much so that stations around the country would air educational PSAs designed to ease viewers’ anxiety and help assuage any doubts and fears over the change to their beloved boob tube.
Here’s a spot PBS provided to stations with Kevin O’Connor and Norm Abram of THIS OLD HOUSE. It seems a little patronizing, hindsight being 20/20, and, yes, more than a little dated, even though it’s less than 15 years old.
