This Day In Broadcast History

It forty years ago that we aired the first DOCTOR WHO adventure with fifth Doctor Peter Davison. Part one of the serial CASTROVALVA was broadcast at 6:30pm on Monday, March 7, 1983, following a special look at the cult series. Davison’s first episode had been shown in the UK the year before (4 January 1982) but for Whovians in North Carolina this was the first time we were treated to a new Doctor! It was quite the experience.
