If you work in television, you’ve probably seen something like this. It’s a grey scale chart, used in broadcasting by the engineering staff to ensure the studio cameras are appropriately aligned. Trust me, it’s a lot more technical than that (I asked one of our engineers about it and got a description that kind of made my head spin – and I’ve worked in TV since college). I was told it may have set us back about $1,200 so I’m glad I didn’t touch it.
