Wednesday Trivia Question

What MTV personality played Galaxy Girl on GHOSTWRITER?

GHOSTWRITER was a children’s mystery series that ran on PBS in the 1990s. It was created by Liz Nealon and produced by the Children’s Television Workshop and BBC Television. The show followed a group of friends in Brooklyn who worked as youth detectives with the help of Ghostwriter, a ghost who would communicate by manipulating text and letters to form words and sentences.

The show was designed to teach reading and writing skills to schoolchildren and was a wonderful addition to the PBS Kids line-up. It also featured more than a few guest stars of note, including Samuel L. Jackson, Spike Lee, Judge Reinhold, Bo Jackson, Robin Leach and Salt-N-Pepa. But the particular guest star being discussed today happens to be an actress, comedian, model and television host possibly best known for being an MTV VJ (back when they were Music Television and had VJs). She appeared on the program in autumn 1993 playing Galaxy Girl, the favorite action hero of Ghostwriter Team member Gaby Fernández.

So who was it? What MTV personality played Galaxy Girl on the PBS Kids series GHOSTWRITER?
