What’s happening, what’s on and what’s interesting this week …

Thanksgiving will be a big day for family television around these parts. A Chef’s Life marathon kicks off on UNC-TV at noon with ten episodes of Vivian Howard doing what she does best – cooking up a heapin’ helpin’ of downhome dishes and humor. Then, an all-new Anne Of Green Gables movie debuts Thursday night at 8 on UNC-TV, followed by an adaptation of the classic children’s tale Pollyanna.

If you’re still not sure what to serve up to your family and guests, PBS Food may be able to lend a hand. Check out an impressive array of recipes and menu items guaranteed to be a hit at your house.

The Kratt Brothers are making a big splash this week – as is PBS Kids’ newest show. Tune in for Wild Kratts: Creatures Of The Deep Wednesday morning at 9 on UNC-TV and then stay tuned for the premiere of Splash And Bubbles immediately following.

Fans of pledge favorite Joe Bonamossa will be pleased to know that he’s making an appearance in the Triangle this week. Friday night, Bonamossa brings his guitar masterwork to the DPAC. Check out his website for tour info.
