What’s happening, what’s on and what’s interesting this week …

Unfortunately, some sad news to start off the week: actor John Hurt has passed away. The veteran actor had a career that spanned decades and was known for roles in feature films like The Elephant Man and Midnight Express. However, many public television viewers first saw the incredible actor as Caligula in the epic late-70s Masterpiece Theatre presentation of I, Claudius.

The world of Nature has never been more up close and personal with Spy In The Wild, a new five-part series. The program employs more than 30 animatronic spy cameras disguised as animals to secretly record behavior in the wild. Don’t miss it – Wednesday night at 8 on UNC-TV.

Former NOVA ScienceNow host and all-around ultra-cool science geek Neil deGrasse Tyson reveals “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me!”

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts’ Mostly Mozart Festival – Friday night at 9 on UNC-TV.

And fans of Sherlock may be pleased to know the detective’s adventures continue – in manga form. Kadokawa’s Sherlock manga is a hit and a fourth series will be released soon.
