If you’re a regular UNC-TV viewer, chances are you’re familiar with our monthly programming guide called Centerpiece. The cover of the October issue, which features artwork by cartoonist/illustrator Rich Powell, is designed to be colored. In fact, colored by you, the UNC-TV viewer! It’s all part of the celebration of Our State‘s new season in which Powell draws new life out of Andy Griffith’s classic monologue about a country deacon’s first football game. Color the Centerpiece cover and send it in for a chance to win a year’s subscription to Our State Magazine. Click HERE for details.
However, since UNC-TV employees are not eligible to enter, we still wanted to get in on the Crayola-fueled fun. That’s why one of the windows in our break room was recently turned into an impromptu art installation full of staff-colored Centerpiece covers.
Here are some shots of the artistic renderings. (FYI – the contest closes for anyone not affiliated with UNC-TV on November 2.)
